Family Stories TV (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use familystoriestv.com and our iOS and tvOS apps.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (encrypted). If you are the family owner, we also collect your family name.

Vimeo Integration

Family owners provide a Vimeo personal access token to connect their Vimeo library. This token is stored securely and is never exposed to other family members or third parties. We use it solely to retrieve your video library from Vimeo's API on your behalf.

Family Member Data

When you invite a family member, we collect their email address and create an account for them. We send them a welcome email with login credentials using Resend, a third-party email service.

Usage Data

We may collect watch history, favorites, and interaction data (hearts, comments) to power the viewing experience across your family's devices. This data is stored in our Supabase database.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Family Stories TV service
• To authenticate your account and protect your family's content
• To send invitations and credential emails to family members
• To sync your Vimeo library across devices
• To improve the service (aggregate, anonymized analytics only)

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — authentication and database storage
• Vimeo — video hosting and streaming (your content remains on Vimeo)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and CDN

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@familystoriestv.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Note: deleting your account does not delete your videos from Vimeo — only your Family Stories TV account data is removed.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database to ensure each family's data is isolated and inaccessible to other families.
